There's something about a river

Ohh
There’s something about a river
The vast perpetual flowing
Roaring rushing rapids of aeration and friction
Weathering limestone into smooth bubbly seats
Hypnotic beats float by with our cares
I’m lost in the sounds
Lost in the current
the pathos of pull
Washing away the trite and dirt
Reborn in the sweet waters
My love is a river
forever flowing without end
Stretching towards infinity
how it swoops and how it bends
I listen to the river
and hear the wisdom of time etched into an ever changing world
Different with every blink
We never stand or stare at the same river twice
Pulsing and rising the blood of the mountains
pumps life into us all
I listen to the river
and hear the answers
The language of dripping drops and dragonfly
The river of life
How it flows
How it knows.

Join the Journey

from deep within

to high above

we swiftly float

towards enlightenment.

untitled poem

I fall in love nearly everyday
with each passing flower
when the sun hits it just right
and you sweetness
stop me dead in my tracks
sweet soft curves and tender nectar
how the birds and bees must love to set their eyes on you
as their tongues
i fall in love nearly everyday
forever spring in a mine of such wonderment
If i had the mind to pick you
We'd dance all the way home.

slow cool breeze

Rising is heaven and good is the world
Platitudes...soft chuckle
a slow cool breeze floating by
curving and wisping
smiling and rolling on through the mountains
valleys and streams, rocks and leaves, bow and hold steadfast
all whisper back in recognition
and peace at the sweet passing
the wind whips and tears
at our eyes and hair
flopping and flowing
dog ears and dog flowers
wild is the wind
falling as petals push me over the edge
drift smells of lavender and lily
pollen scrambles for awaiting love
you kiss the back of my neck
and i shudder in delight.

Following the blooms

Flaming azalea's speckled our walk on the good ole Appalachian Trail.

A recap of the first half of the trail crew season is underway.

Enjoying a sweet solstice break.
